Ahsan Iqbal, the minister of planning, dismissed the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) threat to leave the central coalition government on Monday, stating that political fluctuations are inevitable.
A day earlier, PPP spokesman Shazi Marri had warned that the “federal government will collapse the day PPP withdraws support” and voiced frustration over the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) refusal to include her party in the decision-making process.
She said that the PPP and the Sindh government were not informed about the creation of the Pakistan Maritime & Sea Port Authority (PMSPA) by the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Additionally, according to the PPP spokeswoman, they have been calling for a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) for a long time, but there hasn’t been one.
