KARACHI: In order to improve educational outcomes, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has emphasized the necessity of reorienting students’ attention from the “race for marks” to the learning process.
Sardar stated during an awareness session in Karachi on Tuesday that “quality-based assessment in examination boards is necessary, rather than focusing solely on quantity.”
“This year’s exams will also be a test of the boards’ own system, which will help determine whether to involve the private sector for third-party assessments in the future,” he said.
The minister was speaking to the attendees of the seminar on the “Model Assessment Framework” that was hosted by the Inter-Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) of the Federal Ministry of Education.
