To be near Prince William, Kate Middleton had given up her goal.
According to royal analyst Katie Nicholl, the Princess of Wales’ original plans to study nearly prevented her from meeting Prince William.
According to reports, Kate got a spot in the University of Edinburgh’s art history program because she wanted to study there.
But Kate abruptly decided to transfer to St. Andrews University, where Prince William had recently confirmed that he would be attending.
“Every girl in America seemed to want to come to St. Andrews to look for the prince,” Nicholl told The Daily Record. The papers would have been read by Kate. She would have been aware that William was leaving and that they might end up together.
