After allegedly discovering his daughter and her companion together at his home in Malir’s Rafah-e-Aam Society, a man in Karachi shot them dead on Tuesday in the name of “honour.”
According to the police, the suspect, Azhar, said he was furious when he discovered his daughter and her friend by themselves on the rooftop of the house. The two were immediately slain when he shot them both at close range.
18-year-old Fatima and 20-year-old Ali were named as the victims.
The suspect turned himself in to the local police after the deaths and admitted to the crimes in the name of “honour,” the police claimed.
Azhar told the police in his first statement that he had prevented the young man from coming to his house.
