In response to a recent spike in migrant boat disasters, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has established a special task team, which he will personally chair, to tackle human trafficking syndicates operating in Pakistan.
The prime minister declared, “We will bring the perpetrators involved in human trafficking to justice,” as he presided over a review meeting on Friday about measures to stop human trafficking in the nation.
The prime minister urged all relevant ministries, including the foreign ministry, to actively participate in identifying human traffickers in order to expedite the pace of arrests of those involved in the crime.
