Top military officials on Tuesday voiced serious concerns over terrorists’ continuous exploitation of Afghan territory against Pakistan amid an increase in terror attacks in the nation and called for “concrete and tangible actions” from the interim Afghan administration.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the concern was voiced at the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference, which was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and was presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir.
“The forum stressed the imperative of concrete and tangible actions by interim Afghan government against Fitna Al Khawarij instead of denials as well as continuing with the strategy of undertaking all necessary measures in defence of Pakistan and its people,” said the media arm of the military.
