KARAK: Authorities revealed that at least three police officers were killed and six others were injured in a heinous nocturnal attack by terrorists on a police checkpoint in the Karak region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) early on Thursday.
Armed with heavy weaponry, the attackers opened fire on the checkpoint in the city’s Bahadurkhel neighborhood.
Taimur, Hayat, Naqeeb, and Adnan have been named as the deceased. Four wounded employees were taken to Karak’s District Headquarters Hospital immediately. However, because they were in serious condition, three of the injured were later moved to Peshawar.
At Karak Police Lines, the funeral service for the fallen officers will begin at ten in the morning.
