ISLAMABAD: At Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is coming to Islamabad today (Wednesday) for a two-day visit.
High-level meetings during his visit are intended to improve Pakistan-Turkey economic cooperation and bilateral ties.
A high-level team made up of ministers, senior officials, and business executives will accompany President Erdogan when he arrives in the Pakistani capital. When he arrives, he will be welcomed with open arms.
The visit follows President Asif Ali Zardari’s brief meeting with President Erdogan at Istanbul Airport in Turkey a few days prior.
During their encounter, the two leaders spoke amicably and talked about issues of common interest and bilateral relations.
