Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Farrukh Lanjar said Sunday that a preliminary investigation into the death of well-known Sindhi poet Allah Bux, also known as Dr. Akash Ansari, revealed that the poet was killed before being burned.
“The preliminary investigation has so far proven that Dr. Akash’s death was not accidental,” the SSP stated in an interview with Geo News.
The famous Sindhi poet, 69, perished on Saturday after a fire broke out in his home in Hyderabad’s Citizen Colony.
The police officer said that the poet was killed before his body was burned, citing the findings of the investigation. He added that physicians had established his death was not an accident and that they were awaiting the autopsy findings. The investigations were in progress, he said.
