KARACHI: According to meteorologist Jawad Memon, a strong westerly weather system is expected to impact portions of the nation from today (Monday) through February 22. 70 to 80 northern parts of the nation, such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, could be affected by the system.
While certain places may get moderate to severe rains, the weatherman informed news that snowfall is anticipated in mountainous areas. It is unlikely that this system will bring any rain to Sindh, though.
Significant rainfall is anticipated in Balochistan, he said, with snowfall likely in Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Khuzdar. Gwadar, Pasni, Turbat, and Ormara are also expected to see light to moderate rain, with hailstorms possible in some areas of the province.
