LONDON: British-Pakistani National Health Service (NHS) doctor Dr. Naveed Farooq filed a complaint against Geo News in the UK, but it was dismissed by Britain’s media watchdog Ofcom. Farooq was caught attempting to enter Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif’s Harley Street clinic room while she was receiving cancer treatment.
had covered Dr. Farooq’s ejection and media appearance, but he lodged a complaint.
Dr. Farooq claimed that because he was mistakenly classified as a “suspect, criminal, and an intruder,” he was treated unfairly and unjustly in the aired programs.
According to Dr. Farooq, he had gone to the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife’s hospital room to “pay my respects to the family.”
