ISLAMABAD According to The News, Pakistani leader and former federal minister Azam Swati denied rumors of a political agreement between the establishment and party founder Imran Khan on Saturday.
People who made such allegations, he said, had “lost their minds”. But he insisted that after former President Dr. Arif Alvi’s arrival, discussions would take place.
“I have permission from Khan Sahib [PTI founder] for talks (but) not for his release, Imran Khan will speak for the rule of democracy and the Constitution,” Swati told reporters outside a Rawalpindi court.
In response to internal party criticism, Swati questioned whether holding conversations was sinful and emphasized that the goal of the dialogue was a cause rather than a personal deal.
