PESHAWAR: According to a report acquired by Geo News, an internal party investigation has exonerated Babar Saleem Swati, the speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, of all charges of corruption and abuse of authority.
Qazi Anwar, a member of the Internal Accountability Committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), conducted an investigation and found no evidence to back up the charges made against the speaker.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has received the seven-page study, which claims that PTI leader Azam Swati’s claims—which range from financial issues to unlawful appointments—could not be verified.
