Following an ambush on police officers manning a polio vaccination team in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a police officer accepted martyrdom and a terrorist was killed in a gunfight.
Police say the incident happened when the murdered constable was on duty for the polio vaccination campaign.
The terrorist who was slain was discovered to have two motorcycles, a machine gun, and a rocket launcher. The militant was also found to have a smartphone, three ATM cards, and a national identity card.
A case has been filed at the CTD Azam Warsak police station, according to officials.
