According to AFP, Russia and Ukraine have accused one another of violating a 30-hour Easter truce that Russian President Vladimir Putin declared.
In observance of the religious holiday, the ceasefire was supposed to start Saturday night, but both sides reported ongoing fighting.
Despite the truce, Russia conducted “hundreds of shelling and drone assaults” along the front line, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “The Ukrainian army is and will remain a complete reflection of Russia,” he declared. Additionally, Zelensky reiterated his demand for a 30-day truce.
