Prince Harry reportedly spent £8,000 on a rare gift—a 1926 first edition of Winnie the Pooh—for the baptism of his nephew, Prince Louis.
His late mother, Princess Diana, who enjoyed collecting first editions of great literature, was honored with this unique gift.
Harry intended to carry on this custom by establishing a modest library for Prince Louis and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, according to The Express.
At the time, a friend of the Duke of Sussex remarked, “One of Harry’s favorite childhood memories was hearing his mother read a story to him before bed.”
