LAHORE: Testing for thalassemia and other genetic abnormalities will now be necessary for students applying to Punjabi schools, colleges, and religious institutions.
All public and private educational institutions are covered under the Punjab Assembly’s Thalassemia Prevention Act 2025, which includes the measure.
