KARACHI: Amin Mukaty and Sara Lodhi emerged as Pakistan’s fastest male and female finishers in the 129th Boston Marathon on Monday, demonstrating the country’s robust running community.
Mukaty, a 23-year-old runner from Karachi who qualified for the Boston Marathon, ran an amazing 2:48:47 over the difficult Boston course, which is notorious for its punishing Heartbreak Hill section. Mukaty wrote, “Heartbreak Hill couldn’t break my heart,” on his Instagram page.
