According to the Foreign Office, US Charge d’Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker visited Senator Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, on Wednesday to talk about the worsening regional situation.
According to a statement released after the meeting, the Foreign Office spokeswoman noted that the two parties discussed current South Asian tensions, especially in light of the Pahalgam event in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and stability, emphasizing that the country’s interests would always come first.
He emphasized that Pakistan would continue to respond to provocations in a measured but forceful manner.
