Timothée Chalamet will be the recipient of this year’s David di Donatello film awards’ David for Cinematic Excellence honorary prize.
Held on May 7, 2025, the Donatello Awards, Italy’s largest cinematic event, will be presented by Mika and Elena Sofia Ricci.
Speaking about the honor Chalamet deserves, Piera Detassis, President and Artistic Director of The Academy of Italian film, described him as “one of the most unpredictable and talented protagonists of international cinema today.”
The Interstellar star is “capable of being both an auteur performer and a star generating trends and styles,” the 71-year-old added in a joke.
