The local community was in a panic on Friday after experiencing earthquake vibrations in Swat and the adjacent areas.
The National Seismological Center reports that the earthquake had a Richter scale value of 4.8. Different regions of Swat and neighboring districts experienced the earthquakes.
The center added that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, which is notorious for experiencing frequent seismic activity because of its tectonic setting, and that the earthquake started at a depth of 140 kilometers.
