Defense Minister Khawaja Asif issued a stark warning in a tough interview on Wednesday that nuclear war was a genuine possibility if tensions continued to rise.
Islamabad referred to India’s early Wednesday morning strikes on Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir as a “blatant act of war” as tensions between the nuclear-armed adversaries rise in the wake of a deadly attack on tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Islamabad, two dozen weapon strikes occurred at six different Pakistani locales, including mosques and hydropower facilities, killing 31 civilians and injuring 57 more.
In response to a query, he stated that Pakistan has already encountered such dangers and that the area might be on the verge of another strategic impasse.
