In light of the “evolving regional situation in South Asia” following the military skirmishes between India and Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to make an official visit to China today (Monday).
The deputy premier will travel to Beijing for three days from May 19 to May 21 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Foreign Office said in a statement released on Sunday.
According to a FO official, “Dar will have extensive talks with Wang Yi on the changing South Asian regional situation and its implications for peace and stability during the visit.”
