On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will be closed in celebration of Youm-e-Takbeer, a public holiday honoring the nation’s momentous 1998 nuclear tests.
The PSX notified all relevant parties in an official notification released on Monday that the shutdown was in accordance with the national holiday that the Pakistani government had designated.
In light of Youm-e-Takbeer, the notice stated, “All concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, as it is a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan.”
