ISLAMABAD: According to Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, there is still no chance of a deal or relief for Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), because of what he called “extreme mistrust” between the former prime minister and the nation’s establishment.
While there are often rumors of negotiations or backdoor deals, Sanaullah told The News that the reality on the ground is very different. He flatly rejected any rumors of a breakthrough, asking, “How can Khan be offered a deal or relief with such a level of mistrust?”
Senior PML-N leader Rana, who has always advocated for political reconciliation, reaffirmed his belief that the only way forward is through inter-party discussion.
