Two persons were killed and eleven injured when a car bomb detonated in a crowded market next to the Frontier Corps (FC) fort in the Gulistan neighborhood of the Qila Abdullah district.
Intense gunfire erupted in the vicinity immediately following the explosion. According to the deputy commissioner of Qila Abdullah, who verified the explosion, the device was hidden in a car that was parked in a crowded market next to the FC camp.
Personnel from the FC and other security forces were uninjured in the incident, according to Riaz Khan Dawar. Among the injured were civilians, who were promptly transported to a neighboring hospital.
