According to astronomical calculations, there is no likelihood of seeing the Zil Hajj moon in Pakistan on May 27, hence Eid ul Adha will be celebrated on June 7.
The new moon won’t likely be visible in Pakistan on May 27, according to astronomer Dr. Faheem Hashmi, because it would only be 11 hours old when the sun sets on that day.
Hashmi further said that there is a good chance that Eid ul Adha will come on June 7 and that the crescent of Zil Hajj will be sighted on May 28.
He went on to say that on May 28, the moon will be more than 35 hours old, increasing the likelihood of seeing it.
