A representative for the former US president stated Tuesday that Joe Biden had a blood test for prostate cancer 11 years prior and had never been diagnosed with the disease until last week, according to AFP.
Following President Donald Trump’s remark that he was “surprised” the public was not informed about the illness sooner, Biden’s replacement stoked allegations of a cover-up.
A few days after a lesion was discovered on the gland, Biden’s office declared on Sunday that the 82-year-old had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“President Biden’s last known PSA was in 2014,” a Biden representative told AFP.
“Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”
