ISLAMABAD The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership is perplexed, irritated, and growing more split over how to pursue political relief for both their imprisoned leader and the troubled party as a result of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s inconsistent political stance and contradicting remarks.
Senior PTI leaders who met with Imran in Adiala jail on Tuesday reportedly told reporters that the former premier expressed a desire to establish communication lines with the military establishment.
According to reports, he authorized the party to investigate the idea of holding discussions with the top executives. He did, however, draw a clear line, stating that no talks should be undertaken with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) or the government.
