ISLAMABAD A day after a powerful storm struck Punjab and surrounding regions, more rain, thunderstorms, and hail are predicted in a number of regions of the nation today (Sunday).
According to a weather forecast released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department on Sunday, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the Pothohar region, and certain parts of Punjab and Balochistan could see thunderstorms and showers. In remote areas, there may also be intense rainstorms or hailstorms.
The country’s hottest temperature during the last 24 hours was 50 degrees Celsius in Jacobabad, followed by 49 degrees in Sibi, according to the Met Office.
Additional high temperatures at Dadu, Mohenjo Daro, Rohri, Larkana, and Nawabshah were 47°C.
