KARACHI: After a heated discussion with a foreign journalist who questioned President Donald Trump and the United States’ role in easing recent tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar faced criticism from opposition parties and received a lot of attention on social media, according to The News on Sunday.
The reporter repeatedly questioned Jaishankar about whether Trump had contributed to lowering tensions between the two nuclear-armed countries during the interview.
“Have you arrested the killers of the 26 people in Pahalgam?” the reporter inquired, sharpening the inquiry. Is there an effort to capture them? What part did the United States play in all of this?
