Six people were killed and sixty-four injured, including nine children, in a concentrated, nine-minute Russian drone strike on Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, in the middle of the night, Ukrainian officials claimed Wednesday, according to Reuters.
As part of heightened bombardments that Moscow claims are punitive for Kyiv’s recent attacks in Russia, the nocturnal attack came after Russia’s two largest airstrikes of the war on Ukraine this week.
In other news, Russian forces struck an energy complex Wednesday, leaving two southern Ukrainian regions—Mykolaiv and Kherson—without electricity, according to the governors.
