The Pakistan Airports Authority has released a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) stating that Pakistan has expanded its airspace restrictions for Indian aircraft.
The notification states that till July 23, 2025, Indian military and commercial aircraft will not be allowed to enter Pakistani airspace. Aircraft registered in India or leased by Indian companies are also prohibited.
The limitation was first put in place in reaction to India’s flying embargo on Pakistan, which was put into effect following the Pahalgam incident. Pakistan retaliated by prohibiting Indian planes from flying in its airspace.
The NOTAM reiterates that the prohibition will be in effect for at least another month and that it applies to any aircraft registered in India, including both military and passenger aircraft.
