LAHORE: During a recent operation known as “Operation Yalghar,” Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested six suspected terrorists from various districts throughout the province who were employed by India’s spy agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW). The CTD also successfully thwarted a significant terror plot.
“The police officers revealed that two operatives, Aslam and Akbar Ali, were arrested in Bahawalnagar while obtaining explosives directly from India’s Border Security Force (BSF),” Punjab Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Operations Shehzada Sultan, flanked by CTD’s SSP Operations Waqar Azim, said at a press conference in Lahore.
They further claimed that the terrorists had communication with Indian intelligence agents, including Inspector Singh and Major Ravindra Rathore of RAW.
Pakistan’s fears about India’s subversive policy in the region are reiterated by the CTD’s action.
