The England cricket board (ECB) announced on Thursday that fast bowler Jofra Archer has been added to the team for the second test match against India, which will begin at Edgbaston on July 2.
After a long break due to a recurrent elbow problem and a back stress fracture, the 30-year-old makes his first appearance in England’s test setup since the 2021 tour of India.
Archer, who has claimed 42 wickets in 13 tests, played in the County Championship with Sussex on Sunday for the first time in four years.
