PESHAWAR: A verbal sparring match between the provincial president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Junaid Akbar Khan, and the spokesperson for Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur revealed rifts within the party’s upper echelons, escalating tensions within the PTI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, according to The News.
When Junaid Akbar claimed that the provincial government was scheming against him and his followers, the rift started. He said that the chief minister was actively working against him and that development projects connected to MPAs that hosted protests in his support had been canceled.
