In anticipation of severe weather predicted for July 2–8, the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) has issued impact-based weather advisories throughout Pakistan.
The warnings emphasized the increasing likelihood of urban flooding, flash floods, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) across the nation.
According to a statement from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), which is in charge of the NECO, the present period of low to moderate rainfall is probably going to last until July 5.
It further stated that a westerly wave and an active southwest monsoon system are predicted to move into the nation, bringing with it localized thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rainfall.
