KARACHI: Officials announced on Tuesday that Alex Khan, a member of the national squad, has been named head coach of the Pakistan U-18 baseball team by the Baseball Federation of Pakistan (BFP).
Khan, a Pakistani who was born in the United States, was chosen because of his vast junior baseball expertise, according to BFP President Fakhar Shah. Khan, a pitcher and infielder for Pakistan’s senior squad, will play in this year’s Asian Championship and represented his nation at the 2022 World Baseball Classic.
“We’re excited to announce that Alex Khan has been appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan U-18 team for the upcoming U-18 World Cup qualifiers!” according to a statement from the BFP.
