Senior leader Rana Sanaullah of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) denied rumors of a break with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Thursday, reaffirming that the current coalition government would remain in place.
Sanaullah, the prime minister’s political affairs adviser, stated on News’ “Capital” program: “The coalition government cannot continue without the alliance.
This system cannot function without the PPP and PML-N combination, despite the shift in numbers that followed the reserved seats ruling. Both sides agree on this.
He went on to say that the rumors that were going around regarding the alliance’s future were “completely baseless.”
