LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: A deepening division inside the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is shown by the disagreements among the party’s senior leadership on the recently declared anti-government movement.
“We have ninety days to determine whether or not to engage in politics. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore with Salman Akram Raja and other PTI leaders, Gandapur declared, “The [protest] movement will be a do or die [in nature].”
Aliya Hamza, the chief organizer of the PTI Punjab, however, questioned the movement. The News quotes Aliya Hamza as saying: “Will someone shed light on this? What strategy for the PTI founder’s release was revealed yesterday or today?
“Where and how will the PTI protest movement start?” she added.
