Salman Farooqui, who was implicated in an assault incident involving a young guy in the Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA) Ittehad Commercial area, has had his case against him dismissed by Karachi police.
After video of the event went viral on social media last month, the case received a lot of attention.
The charge against Farooqui has been formally withdrawn, police told the court during a hearing at the South Judicial Magistrate’s court in Karachi. Additionally, Gizri Police provided a report attesting to the case’s closure.
The police report states that Dheeraj, also known as Dhanraj, the complainant, has decided not to press charges against the accused any further. He confirmed in writing that the accused did not engage in any wrongdoing against him or his sister.
