“Maritime and law enforcement agencies conducted successful joint operations at sea and seized a massive amount of narcotics worth Rs5-7 billion in the international market,” said Sindh Excise Minister Mukesh Chawla on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Chawla stated that authorities had confiscated 550 kilograms of hashish and 100 kilograms of crystal meth, also referred to as ice, in a combined operation with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA).
A day ago, the provincial excise department conducted a separate investigation in which 2,100 bottles of foreign liquor were also seized, he added.
