Weeks after the two neighbors had their deadliest fight in decades, Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the ceasefire with India but issued a warning against normalizing the arbitrary use of force.
Dar stated that Pakistan is still totally committed to the regional ceasefire and a balanced security environment while speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Tianjin, China.

“Pakistan is still committed to the ceasefire and the development of a stable regional balance today,” Dar stated. “However, we cannot accept the normalization of the arbitrary use of force.”
