RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced Wednesday that an army major was killed by Indian-sponsored terrorists in the Awaran district of Balochistan.
According to the military’s media arm, the event happened while security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the district in response to reports of the “presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al-Hindustan.”
“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorist location and resultantly, three Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” said the statement.
However, Muzafarabad native Major Syed Rabnawaz Tariq, 34, “a brave officer who was leading his troops from the front, fought gallantly and paid the ultimate sacrifice” during the fierce gunfight.
