ISLAMABAD According to a Gallup Pakistan survey, the majority of people living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are in favor of the federal government’s decision to deport unlawful Afghan refugees.
According to The News, 85% of respondents to the survey, which polled 3,000 people throughout the province, supported the decision, 11% disagreed, and 4% did not reply.
According to the survey, 79% of respondents thought that the return of Afghan refugees would improve the security situation, while 16% didn’t agree. Five percent did not respond to the query.
62% of respondents appeared to agree that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s economy had improved since the return of Afghan refugees. They claimed that once the refugees returned, the province’s economy would strengthen.
