Inter-Services Public Relations reported on Sunday that a joint intelligence-based operation in the Malakand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the deaths of at least nine Indian-sponsored terrorists and the arrest of eight others.
It further stated that the security forces, police, Levies, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and the Malakand district administration launched a joint IBO from July 16 to 20 in response to the claimed presence of “Fitna al Khwarij” terrorists.
According to the statement, the security forces deftly surrounded and engaged the terrorists’ location, neutralizing the nine “khwarij” in addition to apprehending eight following intense, multi-fire exchanges.
Two terrorist hideouts were broken into during the operation, and a significant amount of explosives, ammunition, and weapons were also found.
