Due to his repeated absences from the hearings of the weapons and liquor recovery case, Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has been issued an arrest warrant by a district and sessions court in Islamabad.
Gandapur’s plea for an exemption from personal appearance was denied by judicial magistrate Mubashir Hassan, who issued the arrest order when the hearing resumed today.
Hassan gave the order for the KP chief executive to be arrested by tomorrow, July 22, and brought before the court.
The Islamabad court had previously issued Gandapur’s arrest warrants in the same case two days before to this judgment, giving the fiery lawmaker one more chance to submit his statement under Section 342.
