RAWALPINDI: According to sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with a group of well-known business figures headed by former caretaker federal minister Gohar Ejaz to talk about Pakistan’s economic prospects and reforms.
APTMA Chairman Kamran Arshad, SM Tanvir, and the presidents of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) were among the delegation members.
According to Ejaz, the delegation gave the field marshal an update on the status of the national economy, pointing out that business community support for government initiatives was strong and that economic stability was slowly returning.
He called for interest rates to be lowered to reflect inflation and emphasized the necessity of enabling businesses to spearhead significant reforms.
