President Donald Trump of the United States stated on Friday that he has not given any thought to pardoning or commuting Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime friend of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who is once again in the news due to a political uproar surrounding the case.
Trump told reporters, “It’s something I haven’t thought about,” in response to a question concerning Maxwell’s potential pardon. “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”
In 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of assisting Epstein in sexually abusing underage females, and he is currently serving a 20-year sentence at a federal prison in Tallahassee, Florida. At the moment, she is contesting her sentence.
Both Trump’s political rivals and supporters have been putting increasing pressure on him to divulge more details on the Justice.
