According to TMZ, professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, passed away at the age of 71.
Emergency medical personnel apparently responded to a call regarding a “cardiac arrest” on Thursday morning and were sent to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida, though specifics are still lacking.
According to reports, Hogan, a prominent figure in professional wrestling, was carried into an ambulance on stretchers.
“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away,” the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrote in a post on X, confirming Hogan’s passing. In the 1980s, Hogan, one of the most well-known personalities in pop culture, contributed to WWE’s rise to international prominence.
